Sigmund is mentioned in the book Mobilisatie, collaboratie, liberatie, de jaren 1939-1948 in Stadskanaal (Stadskanaal, 1977) by Hans Onderwater. On 13 July 1942 he was being held at Amersfoort concentration camp for ‘being at the market in Winschoten’.
