Hersz Rosenblatt and his wife Frajdla Schwartbrart escaped to the Netherlands. In August 1941, they were living in Alphen aan den Rijn in the official residence of the religious education teacher Samuel Aardewerk at 10 Rijnkade, from where they moved to 29 Julianastraat in September 1941. At the latter address, they were picked up during the large raid on 30 September 1942 and deported to Auschwitz via Westerbork.
