Erich Dasché and his family

Erich Dasché and Edith Adler married on 24 March 1929 in Breclav, Chechoslowakia. The couple had three children.

After the 'Anschluss' of Austria, all Jews living in the Niederösterreich province were forced to move to Vienna. Erich Daché and his family moved to the Volkerstrasse 23 in Vienna. In June 1939 they fled to The Netherlands. They first stayed in The Hague with a sister of Edith Adler. In 1940 they resided in two guest houses in Oisterwijk. Because Edith Adler was pregnant they had to look for larger housing. From 5 July 1941 onwards the family lived at Akkerstraat 33 in Goirle.

Up until September 1941 the children went to the public primary school in Goirle. After that, they received education at home or at their former teachers' house.

On 4 May 2005 a plaquette was revealed commemorating the Dasché family. The plaquette is attached to the last address where the family Dasché lived, which is now at Emmastraat 35.

There is also a Dutch website about the Dasché family.
