Nathan van Zand married to Sophia de Levie. The couple had eight children: Daniël, Frouktje, Maria, Nochum, Benjamin, Levie and two children who died at a very early age. The eldest child, Daniël, lived at the Rudelsheimstichting for 'mentally handicapped children'.
