About Anthonie van Teijn

Anthonie van Teijn was the son of Levie van Tijn and Daatje Wolf. He went into business as a fine-art painter in The Hague. In 1892 he moved to Paris, where a friend of his, the sculptor August Alexander, had gone earlier. He returned to the Netherlands in 1939 and stayed in Amersfoort with a cousin. Anthonie van Teijn was buried in Amersfoort’s Rusthof cemetery in 1943.
