Roosje van Straaten was the daughter of Nathan van Straaten and Fij Wolf. She was 80 years old and almost all her relatives had already passed away. In 1941 she lived with the family of the Anna Kahn-Hes.

Roosje van Straaten died on 27 April 1943 in Westerbork transit camp and she was cremated on 28 April 1943. The urn with her ashes was placed on the Jewish cemetry in Diemen on field U, row 4, grave nr. 1.
