Ida Platz-Heimbach was a widow. She was fetched to the Netherlands by her son-in-law married to her daughter Elviere Platz after Kristallnacht. She found herself in Alphen aan den Rijn. During the raid of 3 September 1942, she was a patient in the Elizabeth Ziekenhuis in Leiden. She was rounded up anyway and deported to Westerbork. That is where she died, in barrack 85, bed 41. She was reburied after the war in Diemen.

Ida Heimbach, widow of Jonas Platz, died on 20 April 1943 in Westerbork transit camp and she was cremated on 22 April 1943. The urn with her ashes was placed on the Jewish cemetry in Diemen on field U, row 7, grave nr. 20.
