Eddy Kahn was a son of Leon Kahn and Paula Wilhelmine Emmerich. He married on 12 March 1931 in Pittsburgh (United States). Between 1930 and 1940 he lived in The Hague. In September 1940 he moved with his family to Amsterdam. In May 1941 he emigrated to the United States. During the war he fought as First Lieutenant with the Royal Welch Fusiliers in the British Army. He fell on 19 August 1944 in France. He lies buried on the War Cemetery in Banneville-la-Campagne.
