Natan van Engel was a son from the first marriage of his father Daniel van Engel to Francisca Grunwald. From that marriage, he had an elder brother Mozes Aron van Engel.
Natan married in Den Helder on 24 March 1921 to Rachel Berendina Davidson from Elburg, a daughter of Izaak Davidson and Fronica de Lange. The couple had a daughter Francisca in March 1925. Most likely, mother and daughter have survived the Holocaust.
Natan's mother Francisca Grunwald passed away in 1891 and his father remarried Sara Frank. From that marriage his halfbrother Salomon van Engel was born.
Afther the death of his 2nd wife in 1895, Daniel van Engel married for the 3rd time to Johanna Grünwald and from that marriage his halfbrother Isidor van Engel was born.
Nathan van Engel was corrector in Goor, which appeared from his certificate of death nr. 91 from Den Helder. Information about his death was given by the Civil Registry of Alkmaar . He died in Alkmaar on 30 in Alkmaar.
