Semmie Keizer continued the butcher's shop of Abraham Davidson, living on the same address, after May 1934. In accordance with § 7 VO 48/1941 (Nazi regulation to remove Jews from the trade and industry) the company was dissolved during the war.

On behalf of the Sicherheitspolizei in Zwolle, the police commissioner requested that 44 Jews suspected of having violated German regulations by temporarily changing their place of residence without the required authorization be located, detained and brought to trial. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. Semmie Keijzer, a butcher, was one of these 44 people in hiding from Zwolle.
