In the Nieuw Israëlietisch Weekblad, an obituary was placed in September 1945 by his children and other relatives for father and father-in-law George Sandelowsky who had reached the age of 66; for 'our little sunshine and hope for the future' Peterle Sandelowsky aged eight months; for mother and mother-in-law Gitella Cohn-Pels aged 52 years old, for father and father-in-law Aron Cohn Dr. Phil who 'had to be left behind in dying condition on 9 April' and for mother and mother-in-law Rosa Sandelowsky-Wulff who died of the typhoid epidemy in Tröbitz at the age of 53.
