Aäron Turfkruijer was a son of Izaäk Turfkruijer and Rebecca Salomons. He married in 1912 in Borgerhout to a non-Jewish woman. He had seven children from that marriage. From 1932 he did not live together with his family anymore. On 14 September 1940 he divorced from his wife.
