Rachel Leeda was a daughter of Gideon Leeda and Hendrika Levi. She married 13 August 1914 in Berchem (Belgium) to Eliazer Sluijzer, a son of Mozes Sluijzer and Judith Pront.
Rachel was born in a family with in total six siblings. One brother and one sister have survived the war; her youngest baby-brother died in 1904, only 9 months old and one sister died in 1915. Only her sister Hanna died in her residence Berchem (Belgium) on 6 June 1941 and was interred in Putte; her husband Alexander Polak was killed in Auschwitz in the early days of September 1942. Rachel and her son Benjamin were killed in Sobibor.
