A yearbook belonging to Gert David Michalowitz, Menorah 5701, has been preserved and published (H. Heymans and J. Melkman, eds.). There is a handwritten note on the endpaper: 'To Gert Michalowitz, [in Hebrew] bar mitzvah, first-class pupil at the Joodsch Lyceum [secondary school that the Nazis forced Jewish pupils to attend]. W.S.H. Elte’. Elte taught mathematics and was the headmaster of the lyceum.
