Hijman Bierman, a son of Salomon Bierman and Vrouwtje Liest, married 11 January 1911 in Amsterdam to Rachel Sajet, a daughter of Levie Sajet and Mijntje Schellevis. The couple had two children: one daughter lived still at home but was married in 1942 and one son emigrated before the war to South Africa.
