Lea Sophia de Vries lived with her parents at 35 Diezerstraat in Zwolle. The family had a second child which survived the war together with its parents.

According to Cornelissen Lea Sophia (Lily) de Vries wore glasses from when she was very young, she was intelligent and was known in the gymnasium as a brilliant student. She died in a hospital in Zwolle.
