Daniël Sanders was a son of Marcus Sanders and Anna Nathans. He worked as a waiter and as a cook at the Zuidwal Hospital in The Hague. In 1919 he worked as a servant at the Grand Hotel in Scheveningen. Later ran a small hotel.
In 1942 Daniël Sanders was transported through Westerbork to Auschwitz. Near the town Kosel, some 80 kilometres from Auschwitz, he was taken from the train as labour force.
One child of Daniël Sanders survived the war.
