Jozeph Huisman was a son of Hartog Huisman and Frouke Kroon. Jozeph Huisman is born in Appingedam at the Dijkstraat 29. In 1932 he moved with his parents to The Hague. First they lived at Insingstraat 24, later they moved to number 18. Somewhat later they moved to the Drebbelstraat also in The Hague.
Jozeph Huisman received this education at a public school. He was an average student. On 9 February 1938 Jozeph Huisman got married in The Hague. He and his wife first lived at de Insingstraat. A month later, in March 1938, they moved to the Laakhof. Eventually they settled at the Camera Obscurastraat 50.
Jozeph Huisman was a butcher but also worked as a mailman. He also found employment at a grocer and worked as an employee at a furniture factory.
