About Joseph Koe

Joseph Koe was married to a non-Jewish wife. In the twenties, he lived in Antwerp as a diamond worker. Later he returned to Amsterdam. He and his wife had three children. They and their mother survived the war.

Joseph Koe was arrested at his workplace, diamondfactory Asscher, in August 1944. He was held in a prison in Utrecht. From there he was moved to the prison in Scheveningen and from there deported to a camp in Germany (Rodgau-Dieburg, close to Darmstadt) on September 6th, 1944. When and where he died is unknown.
