Aron Turksma was a son of Marcus Mordechai Aaron Turksma and Elizabeth Bela Polak. He got married to Leentje Velleman in Leeuwarden on October 26, 1895. She was a daughter of Izak Velleman and Jeltje Klara Izaaks.
Aron and Leentje had two children: Clara and a child that survived the war. Clara lived at the same address as her parents, together with her husband and son.
