Elisebet Hijmans was the youngest daughter of Isaac Godschalk Hijmans and Eveline Rosette van Lissa. Elisebet, who remained unmarried, settled in The Hague for her occupation as a nurse, where she still lived during the occupation. She was not active as a nurse anymore at that time.
