Willem Levij van Furth studied medicine in Leiden. He took his medical finals on 18 November 1927. On 6 March 1929, he obtained his doctoral degree in Leiden on a thesis about 'Statistical data on cases of placenta praevia from the Leidsche Universiteitskliniek during the years 1848-49 to date'.
Willem Levij van Furth settled at 215 Bezuidenhoutseweg and he also practised at 2a Falckstraat in The Hague. His last known address is 197 De Sillestraat in The Hague. While in hiding in Garderen, he took his own life.
