Levie de Jong was a son of Salomon de Jong and Leentje Leydesdorff. He married in 1908 in Groningen to Jetta Schilo. She passed away in 1939. They had a son Salomon and a son Jacob Leo. Levie de Jong remarried on 18 June 1941 in Amsterdam to Frouke van Delft. They divorced on 12 February 1943.
