About Bernard Herman Vos

Bernard Herman Vos studied medicine in Zurich and Leiden. In Leiden, he sat for his medical finals on 6 June 1896. He obtained his doctoral degree on 21 January 1897 in Leiden with the thesis 'Insufficiency of the aorta valves'.
He practised as a family doctor in Hallum. In 1905, he was appointed senior medical officer of the Hellendoorn convalescent home. He wrote a few studies on tuberculosis.
At the beginning of the Second World War, Bernard Herman Vos lived as a physician on leave at 350 Laan van Poot in The Hague. He died in his hiding place in Haarlem. His wife and children survived the war.
