Abraham Slager and Heika Cohen were married at Westerbork transit camp on 7 October 1942.
Abraham, a photographer by profession, was a son of butcher Markus Izak Slager and of Rosa Kampion. Heika was a daughter of cattle dealer Hartog Cohen and Beilina Hart.
The father of the groom and the parents of the bride attended the marriage ceremony; they signed the marriage certificate. Benjamin Cohen, a brother of the bride, and Abraham Slager, a cousin of the bridegroom, attended as witnesses and signed the marriage certificate.
