Isaac Polak was a son of Barend Polak and Elisabeth Prijs. His mother was already deceased in 1929. His fathter passed away a few months before the outbroke of the war in 1940. Isaac was born in Amsterdam, resided in Rotterdam, was a tailor by trade and he was unmarried. On 31 July 1942 he arrived in Camp Westerbork from where he was deported to Auschwitz on 3 August 1942. Eventually he lost his life in Auschwitz on 30 September 1942.
Isaac was born into a family with eight children; his sister Sientje survived the war as she married a non-Jewish man in 1920, as also his brother Simon, who survived the war too. His other sister and brothers: Rebecca, Levie, Samuel, Hijman, Mozes (and Isaac self) have been killed all in the Shoah.
