About Hartog Dasberg

Hartog Dasberg, a son of Salomo Dasberg and Jansje Hartog, optician and commercial traveller, left Rotterdam for Maastricht in March 1933 but returned in Rotterdam in 1936, where he married the non-Jewish Adriane Maria Elisabeth Gies 5 August 1936, who was born at Düsseldorf. After the wedding, the couple lived at Gaffeldwarsstraat 8a, where in 1937 their daughter Cornelia Janny  was born. After having moved again two times, the marriage ended by a divorce 29 April 1940 and Hartog Dasberg moved to the address C.P. Tielestraat 51b in Rotterdam where he lived in with his parents. This was also his last known address.

Hartog Dasberg was sent from Camp Amersfoort to Westerbork and 16 July 1942 from there deported to Auschwitz, where he was killed 3 August 1942.
