Salomon Elias studied medicine in Utrecht. On 18 March 1898 he sat of his medical finals. On 26 January 1909 he took his PhD degree in Utrecht for his thesis about masons and their trade. Salomon Elias lived and practised in Doorn as a specialist in asthma and bronchitis. His last address was 33a Mauritsweg in Rotterdam. Salomon Elias was married to Constance Emma Haldinstein. They had a son, Alfred Joseph Henry, who was killed in Auschwitz, and two children who survived the war.
