Matthieu Lopes Cardozo was arrested on 28 January 1944 in Amsterdam. After that he was, presumably for interrogation by the SD, brought to Scheveningen. He was registered there as a prisoner on 31 January. On 5 February 1944 he was presumably taken back to a prison in Amsterdam. On 5 April 1944 he was deported together with his father to Auschwitz.
