Marcus Meier Stoodel had a child born out of wedlock. Because of the war he never married the mother of his child. During the war he was forced to work at camp Elsloo in the Netherlands. He managed to escape from there. He then went into hiding for several months in Elsloo. In 1943 he voluntarily reported himself for the safety of the mother of his child and his child, who both survived the war.
