On 13 November 1939 Ulrich (Uli) Herzberg was registered in the Netherlands. He went into quarantine on 6 December 1938 in Amsterdam. On 9 January 1939 he went to the Dommelhuis in Eindhoven. On 17 July 1939 he moved to the Fasantlaan 11 in Eindhoven. On 13 November 1939 he went to live with a host family in Amsterdam in the Grensstraat nr. 12. On 11 June 1941 he went to the Grensstraat nr. 9. On 25 November 1941 he lost his German nationality. On 10 March 1943 he was taken to Westerbork. He had an older brother who survived the war.
