About Gerrit Rijxman

Gerrit Rijxman was a son of Abraham Rijxman and Duifje van Hes. He married on 9 February 1928 in Antwerp to Clara van der Horst from Amsterdam, a 21 years old daughter of Jozef van der Horst and Isabella Dikker. Per 29 February 1928 they resided at Nieuwe Keizersgracht 66 2nd floor in Amsterdam and moved on 3 May 1938 to Geleenstraat 7 2nd floor in the same city.
The couple had two children: Abraham and Isabella Dora, who both, just as their mother, have survived the Holocaust.

According to the death records of camp Sachsenhausen Gerrit Rijxman died on 16 December 1944. It is possible this date is different from the official day of death as established after the war by the Department of Justice.
