Mozes Gompers was the son of Benjamin Gompers and Grietje van Kloeten. He had a variety of occupations: he was a travelling salesman, he had a shop that sold party goods, and worked as an assistant at a bookbinder’s/library. In 1926 he moved from Gouda to Enschede.
