Emanuel Louis Kats was a son of Samuel Kats and Rozette Meijer. He was married to Mania Krell and had one child with her. Emanuel Kats subsequently married Hendrina Eliasar. They had two children of who, Robert Kats was born in camp Westerbork on 20 August 1943. Their other child survived the war.
