Barend Schuitevoerder was a son of Marcus Schuitevoerder and Siphra Goudsmit and a grandson of Hartog Schuitevoerder and Mina Papegaaij.
Barend was born in a family with five children, among them he himself and his sister Jetje who were killed during the Holocaust. His other siblings, Mina, Marianne and Hartog have survived the war.
