When Jewish children had to leave their school and go to a school only for Jewish children, the Jewish pupils of the Christiaan de Wet school went to the President Brandstraat school for Jewish children. Jerohm Hartog was the head teacher of the President Brandstraat school from 1941 till the end of 1942.
