Emma Simons Cohen was a daughter of Izaak Simons Cohen (1859-1938) and Liena (aka) Lena Cohen (1858-1936). Her parents had six children, two of whom survived the war. Her brother Sigmund Louis Simons Cohen lived in the Mauritsstraat with his wife and children; her sister Marieanna Emma lived in the W. Barentzstraat.
