Vrouwtje Bokkie was a daughter of David Isaac Bokkie and Klaartje Hilson. She married on 21 August 1895 in Amsterdam to Simon van Praag, who however passed away there on 14 September 1915. The couple had five children: Aaron, who passed away in Amsterdam during the war, a daughter who died only 2 months old, Bertha, who survived the Holocaust, Clara and David.
