Marcus Bromet was a son of Samuel Abraham Bromet and Rachel Brilleman, a family with four children: he himself, Roosje and Jacob and Mozes, who both passed away already before the war.
Marcus married in Amsterdam on 28 April 1897 to Dina Appel, who passed away there on 29 March 1936. The couple had five children, of whom Samuel and Rachel survived the Holocaust, Simon moved to Belgium but the daughters Amalia and Elisabeth did not survive the Sjoah.
