Albert Emile Rozette was a lively boy. At some point during the occupation, Albert’s school was surrounded by German troops. The Rozette family’s upstairs neighbour was able to take Albert home, under the pretext that he was her own son.
The Rozette family received notification that they should be ready for deportation on a certain day, and made the necessary preparations. Albert Rozette was very enthusiastic because he had been told that he was going to a holiday camp. Before leaving, Albert gave his upstairs neighbour a lantern, asking her to take good care of it until his return.
