Leendert Overst was deported to Sobibor in June 1943 from Vught via Westerbork on the so-called children's transport. He was 15 when he died.

In August 1941 Leendert Overst was enrolled in the first year of the programme for electricians of the 3rd vocational school in East Amsterdam.
