Siegfried Nathan London came from Hamburg, as did his first wife, Franziska Mehrgut. In Amsterdam the couple had two children, but the marriage ended in divorce. Siegfried Nathan London remarried on 7 October 1930. No children were born of this second marriage. London worked as an agent for the Hamburg firm of Carl Meyer & Co AG. He travelled on business to distant countries, including what was then the Dutch East Indies.
