Meijer Groen was a son of Mozes Groen and Judith Dekker. He married 26 Juli 1923 in Amsterdam Anna Musikant, a daughter of Samuel Musikant and Femmetje van Gelder. Anna has survived the Holocaust. The couple had also a son, Martin, who has been killed too in the Shoah
