Amandus Wolfbergen, ( son of Leonard Wolfsbergen and Mathilde Sohn), a lawyer, was married. He and his wife had a child. The family lived in Rotterdam. Amandus Wolfsbergen worked for the Jewish Council. He raised money within the justice system. He used the money to help Jews in hiding, in part toward ration coupons.
On 8 April 1944 Amandus was caught in Rotterdam and held at the Haagsche Veer police station. He was deported from there to Auschwitz via Westerbork. His wife survived the war.
