Frederik Salvador van Nierop was married. The couple had three children. The family lived at 24 Minervalaan, third floor, in Amsterdam. Frederik Salvador van Nierop was director of the Van Baerlestraat branch of the Amsterdamse Bank. He was an officer in the Dutch army. He belonged to the Interior Forces (Region 10/Amsterdam).
As a resistance fighter, he was involved in supporting people who had gone into hiding. He also conducted the administration of the newspaper 'London News' and he had taken part in removing cards from the Municipal Register.
On 28 February 1945, he was rounded up at home and detained in the prison at the Weteringschans. In retaliation for the attack on Rauter, Frederik Salvador van Nierop was executed on 8 March 1945 in Amsterdam (Amsteldijk-Rozenoord).
