The mayor of Waspik requested that Abraham de Jong, a Dutchman and a merchant, residing at A 8 Benedenkerk in Waspik, who had violated regulations by changing his place of residence without permission, be located, detained and brought to trial. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. He was believed to have left his home in the night of 26 to 27 August 1942 and had been missing since then. Abraham de Jong had a solid to large build and a 'marked inclining' gait.
