Samuël Soesan (also known as Jacques) was the son of Salomon Soesan and Rachel Pruim. He was born as one of triplets. One child died soon after birth. The other survived the war. Another brother, Philip, was killed.

Samuël Soesan was married to a non-Jewish woman and had a child. He was a member of the resistance. He was deported on 28 October 1944 from Auschwitz to Stutthof and on 17 November 1944 from there to Hailfingen, an auxiliary camp of concentration camp Natzweiler-Struthof.
