Ludwig Neumeier was a son of August Bernhard Neumeier and Hedwig Coblenz. He married in 1924 in Homburg and had two children. He belonged to a group of protestant Jewish refugees. He came from Homburg to the Netherlands in 1939. He temporarily stayed in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, the Anabaptist Fraternity House in Schoorl, again in Amsterdam, Sluis and eventually in July 1940 in Westerbork. In July 1942 he moved back to Amsterdam, before he had to go to Westerbork again in June 1944.
