About Benjamin de Vries

Before the war, the De Vries family had a shop selling household items in Smedestraat in Haarlem. Benjamin de Vries went into hiding at the same address as his wife Sara de Vries-Van Kloeten, his son Jacob de Vries and his daughter-in-law Rosalie Stern.
Addition of a visitor of the website

The Police Commissioner of Haarlem requested that Benjamin de Vries be located, detained and brought to trial. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
