Jetje Zaligman was a daughter of Salomon Zaligman and Mientje Cohen. After the death of her first husband, Salomon Blein (deceased in Dwingeloo on 3 December 1922), she got married to Mozes West. Mozes West died in Dwingeloo on 13 April 1941.
In the first few days of October 1942, Jetje West-Zaligman was taken to Westerbork together with all Jewish women in Dwingeloo. On 5 October 1942, she was transported from Westerbork to Auschwitz.
